What Skin Problems Are

Depending on the severity of the skin problem depends on the treatment of the skin problem. There are many different skin disorders, they all require their own special treatments. There are many different skin problems and ways to treat them it would be a good idea to first see a doctor to determine the problem before treating.
Dermatitis is irritation of the skin. The popular form is eczema making the skin be itchy becoming red and crusty. The frequent kind of dermatitis in children is atopic eczema. In most cases, it is on the face, back of the neck or knees, or the inner side of the arms.
Other dermatitis skin problems could be an allergic reaction, either from medications, foods, or poison ivy. Psoriasis is another skin problem. It may appear for the first time after a strep throat infection. It might vanish for a bit, but long periods of letup are rare.
Yet another problem is acne, that is caused when pores are clogged with dead skin cells or oily cosmetics causing inflammation in the surrounding skin. It is extensive in the face, neck, shoulders, chest, and back. Acne often happens in adolescence because during puberty, the pores on your face and body grow larger dramatically.
The most serious skin problem is tumours. They can be either benign or malignant. Benign tumours come as moles and warts. Malignant tumours are cancerous. Melanoma is the most serious type of skin cancer. Melanomas start out as a mole that itches or becomes sore, enlarges, grows crusty, and bleeds. Melanomas are any size or color raised or flat. So a mole that has had an appearance change or has gotten bigger needs to be checked by your doctor. If you think you may have skin cancer then see your doctor immediately it can be cured if treated in its earliest stages.
